Brazilian Hobie Cat Championship 2018 version will be held from October 27 to November 3 in Ilhabela-SP
The 2018 Brasilian Hobie Cat 14 and 16 Championship Regatta, known as “BRASCAT”, is organized by the Brasilian Hobie Class Association, Hobie Cat 16 Fleet 12 from Ilhabela, São Paulo.
The location of the regatta will be the Lars Grael Sailing School at 812 Avenida Santos Dumont, Ilhabela, São Paulo 11630-000.

The Brasilian Championship regatta, BRASCAT will be the qualifier for the representatives of the South American region to compete in the 2019 Hobie Cat 16 World Championship Regatta.
Considering that the 2018 BRASCAT is the qualifying regatta for the 2019 Hobie Cat 16 World Championship regatta in Florida, United States, the Brasilian Hobie Cat Association, with financial support from the townhip of Estancia Balnearia de Ilhabela, will provide the crew who finishes first in the General category an award of up to R$4.500,00 (four thousand five hundred Reais) for each sailor towards the purchase of airline tickets. If a Hobie Cat 14 European or World Championship regatta is held in 2019, the Brasilian Hobie Cat 14 champion will also qualify for an award of the same amount towards the purchase of airline tickets to the event. These awards will be granted only if at least 10 boats participate in the General class of each class, Hobie Cat 14 and Hobie Cat 16.
